The Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Ocean Resources will host an online information session tomorrow evening, October 5, at 20:00 hrs on submitting electronic trip logbooks through the "Keyolhu" application.
According to the Ministry, the session will be conducted virtually via Zoom on Monday evening starting at 20:00 hrs.
Developed by the Fisheries Ministry, Keyolhu serves as the central digital portal for the Maldives Fisheries Information System, connecting vessel captains, crew, processors, and regulatory authorities. Since late 2025, the Ministry has processed all commercial fishing licenses and renewals exclusively through the Keyolhu portal and mobile app, establishing a streamlined mechanism for tracking fishing trips and catch metrics electronically.
Tomorrow night's session will focus on several core functions of the system, including:
E-Logbook Submissions: Guiding captains on directly logging and submitting real-time catch metrics for every fishing trip.
Resource Monitoring: Highlighting the necessity of accurate catch data to monitor sustainable fishing volumes across national waters.
Platform Operations: Briefing users on managing crew rosters, updating National Fishermen Registry credentials, and tracking direct fish sales.
The Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Ocean Resources encourages all vessel captains (Keyolhu) and fishermen active in tuna fisheries to participate in tomorrow night's session via the provided Zoom meeting link.
