Senior officials of the Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Ocean Resources recently welcomed a visiting delegation from China’s Hainan University, led by Professor Luo Jian, Vice Dean of the School of Marine Biology and Fisheries.
This visit forms part of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership between the governments of China and the Maldives. During their four-day stay, the academic team will lead a technical training workshop and tour the ministry's marine and aquaculture research facility on K. Maniyafushi.
The ministry emphasized that the engagement is part of ongoing efforts to build institutional capacity and further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
