The owner of the fishing vessel "Seaweed," operating out of Hithadhoo, Addu City, has announced the sale of the 93-foot boat due to ongoing operational challenges.
According to the owner, Mohamed Jihad, the decision to sell the vessel stems from persistent difficulties in securing a reliable captain and crew, coupled with financial losses resulting from inadequate catches to cover daily operational expenses.
The vessel is being offered at a lump sum price of MVR 4 million. However, to accommodate interested buyers who may not have the full amount upfront, the owner is also offering an installment plan priced at MVR 4.5 million, payable over two years. Under this arrangement, buyers can make an initial down payment of MVR 2.5 million, with the remaining balance settled through flexible, mutually negotiated terms within the two-year period.
The boat is being sold fully equipped with all necessary fishing gear and accessories. Capable of cruising at a speed of 14.5 knots, the 93-foot vessel is powered by a brand-new 600-horsepower Mitsubishi engine and features a 40 KVA generator. It is additionally fitted with modern navigation systems, ensuring it is fully prepared for immediate marine operations.
The owner confirms that the vessel is currently in excellent condition and ready for immediate deployment. Interested buyers are encouraged to contact the owner directly via call or text at 7791122 for further inquiries.
