The Secretariat of the North Miladhunmadulu Foakaidhoo Council has announced the opportunity to lease three land plots through a competitive bidding process to develop and operate boatyard sheds (odi haruge).
According to an official announcement published by the council, the plots are designated for maritime work and vessel maintenance. Each plot measures 150 by 50 feet (7,500 square feet) and is being offered for a two-year lease term at a base rental rate of MVR 0.50 per square foot per month.
Interested parties are required to register for the bidding process by purchasing the bid document for a non-refundable fee of MVR 1,000. Registration remains open until 12:00 hrs on Tuesday, 15 September 2026. Payment slips, along with business registration details, must be submitted via email to info@foakaidhoo.gov.mv.
A mandatory pre-bid information session will be held at 10:30 hrs on Thursday, 17 September 2026, at the Foakaidhoo Council Office. The deadline for bid submission and opening is scheduled for 10:30 hrs on Sunday, 20 September 2026.
The council noted that only legally registered businesses—including sole proprietorships, companies, and partnerships—are eligible to participate in the tender.
