Maafushi Council Seeks Examiner for Marine Vessel Practical Driving Tests

The Maafushi Island Council has announced an opening for an examiner to conduct practical driving assessments for marine vessel licensing on the island.

According to the council's announcement, the role requires one examiner, with tests to be conducted at designated locations and schedules set by the council administration.

Applicants must be under the age of 50 and possess at least one year of active vessel driving experience after obtaining their marine driving license. Candidates are also required to hold a certified Coastal Navigation Certificate with endorsements across multiple vessel categories.

The council has set remuneration at MVR 25 for every vessel examined. Interested applicants must submit a completed application form, curriculum vitae, copy of their national identity card, copy of the marine license book, and proof of navigation credentials by Monday, September 21, 2026, before 11:00 AM.
