The Secretariat of the Baa Hithaadhoo Council has reopened applications to recruit two practical examiners to conduct driving tests for motorized sea vessels on behalf of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation.
The council confirmed that the decision to re-advertise follows an absence of applicants during the initial call.
According to the official announcement, eligible candidates must hold a Coastal Navigation certificate, possess an operational sea vessel driving license across categories A, A1, B, C, and D for at least five years, and demonstrate at least one year of practical driving experience. The council further specified that applicants must have no criminal convictions or maritime regulatory violations over the past five years, be under 55 years of age, maintain good physical health, and not be employed by the council secretariat.
The council stated that examiners will receive an allowance of MVR 25 per examined vessel, with preference given to applicants licensed across multiple categories. Interested candidates must submit their application forms alongside a curriculum vitae to the Hithaadhoo Council Secretariat by 13:00 on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
