Vaadhoo Council Invites Bids to Construct Boat Yard

The Secretariat of the Vaadhoo Council in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll has announced an invitation for interested parties to construct a boat yard on a contractor-financed basis, designated for hauling out and repairing small sea vessels.

According to an announcement published in the Government Gazette today by the Vaadhoo Council, the facility is slated to be constructed along the southwestern beach area of the island's Kadhaavadu Magu.

The council stated that eligibility to participate in the bidding process is open to registered companies under Act No. 18/2014, as well as sole proprietorships registered under Act No. 19/2014. Interested parties are required to submit their completed bid registration forms via email to procurement@gaafdhaalvaadhoo.gov.mv before 14:00 hrs on Monday, September 14. Council officials noted that registration will only be confirmed upon the payment of the requisite administrative fee.

A pre-bid information session is scheduled to take place at 11:00 hrs on Wednesday, September 16. The council emphasized that proposals from parties that fail to attend this pre-bid meeting will not be accepted.

According to the council, the final deadline for the submission of bids and estimates is 13:00 hrs on Sunday, September 20. For additional inquiries, the council advises interested parties to contact their office during official working hours at 6840005.
