The Secretariat of the Kinbidhoo Council has re-opened applications to recruit an examiner to conduct driving tests for motorized sea vessel licenses.
The council stated that following the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade’s initiative allowing island councils to administer sea vessel licensing services, an initial announcement was gazetted on August 20, 2026. However, due to a lack of applicants during the initial round, the council has re-invited interested individuals to apply.
Applicants must have at least one year of vessel navigation experience after obtaining a marine vessel driving license, with preference given to candidates holding a certified Coastal navigation certificate and multi-category licenses. Required documents for submission include copies of the sea vessel driving license, the coastal navigation certificate, and the national identity card.
Interested candidates are requested to submit their application documents to the Kinbidhoo Council Secretariat or via email to info@kinbidhoo.gov.mv by 12:00 hrs on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
