White alert issued for Haa Alifu atoll to Thaa atoll

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MetMaldives) has proactively issued a White Alert to ensure communities remain safely prepared for beneficial heavy rain and thunderstorms across northern and central atolls.

The helpful advisory is active today from 11:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs, covering the region from HA. Atoll down to Th. Atoll, inclusive of Male' City and Kulhudhuffushi City.

According to the official alert, residents can anticipate refreshing downpours accompanied by thunderstorms, with brisk wind gusts of up to 40 mph expected during squalls.
