Fisheries Minister Ahmed Shiyam meets Ihavandhoo Fishermen

Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources, Ahmed Shiyam, has met with the fishermen and council members of Haa Alif Ihavandhoo during his ongoing tour of islands in the northern atolls.

The meeting was held yesterday at the island council's office, with local fishermen and council representatives in attendance.

During the discussion, Minister Shiyam listened closely to the challenges faced by local fishermen. He also conferred with the council and the fishing community regarding potential opportunities and avenues for growth within the sector.

The Minister's current trip to Haa Dhaalu and surrounding atolls has included visits to Kelaa, Hanimaadhoo, Nolhivaranfaru, and Nolhivaram, where he has been actively meeting with island councils to review and assess local fisheries conditions.
