Yellow Alert Issued for Northern Atolls Forecasting Very Rough Seas

A yellow alert has been issued for some northern atolls, forecasting very rough seas.

The yellow alert, covering the area from HA. Atoll to R. Atoll, is effective from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm today. A white alert has also been issued for the region, forecasting heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Additionally, winds are expected to gust up to 35 mph during squalls, and seas are forecast to be very rough.

Due to the deteriorating weather in the northern atolls, the Met Office has been issuing alerts at various times yesterday and today. A white alert was also issued earlier this morning.
