The Maldives Fisheries and Ocean Resources Marketing and Promotion Corporation Limited (MFORMPC) has opened the search for a party to create a special brand to market and promote Maldivian fisheries and fish products.
Expressions of Interest (EOI) are open until the 22nd of this month for experienced companies interested in working with MFORMPC to create a special fisheries brand and advertise fish products locally and internationally. Additionally, an information session regarding this will be held on the 12th of this month, MFORMPC stated.
MFORMPC is a 100 percent state-owned enterprise established by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu in February this year, specifically to introduce a special brand for Maldives fisheries sector products, and to advertise and market these products.
This company was established to advertise Maldivian fisheries products, including all marine resources such as aquaculture and mariculture, and to increase the benefits derived from their trade. The company will introduce a special brand for Maldivian products, launch them into national and international markets as premium products, and work to find new markets for the products.
With the establishment of this company, the previously existing Maldives Fisheries Promotion Board has been dissolved.
