The Maldives Meteorological Service has issued a White Alert for some northern and central atolls, forecasting strong winds and rough seas.
The alert was issued from 01:00 pm to 07:00 pm tonight for the area between N. Atoll and D. Atoll. The White Alert issued for these atolls forecasts winds between 19 mph and 24 mph, with rough seas.
Forecasting the weather for the next 24 hours, the National Meteorological Service stated that the weather will generally be fine across all areas. Winds are expected from the north and northeast at speeds between 13 mph and 23 mph.
