The Maldives Meteorological Service has issued a white alert for the entire Maldives.
The alert, effective from 12:00 pm to 06:00 pm, states that heavy rain and strong winds of up to 40 mph are expected.

Earlier today, the Met Office first issued a white alert from 06:00 am to 12:00 pm for the area between K. Atoll and Addu City. At that time, the alert was issued forecasting heavy rain and strong winds of 40 mph during squalls.
Additionally, a white alert was issued from 04:30 am to 09:00 am for the region from HA. Atoll to K. Atoll. The alert for that region was issued forecasting winds between 19 mph and 24 mph. It was also forecasted that the seas would be rough due to the strong winds.
