White Alert Issued for Southern and Northern Atolls Anticipating Strong Winds and Rough Seas

A white alert has been issued for the southernmost and some northern atolls, as strong winds and rough seas are expected.

The National Meteorological Service has issued the white alert for the southernmost region, which includes Addu City and Fuvahmulah City. In the north, the white alert has been issued for the area from Shaviyani Atoll to Alif Dhaal Atoll.

The white alert is effective for these areas from 02:00 PM to 07:00 PM tonight, forecasting winds between 19 mph and 24 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph, and rough seas.

Due to the deteriorating weather conditions across various parts of the Maldives, the meteorological service has urged everyone to be cautious of the weather.
