White alert issued for central atolls forecasting rough seas

A white alert has been issued for central atolls, forecasting rough seas and wind gusts up to 40 mph.

The Maldives Meteorological Service issued the white alert from M Atoll to Th Atoll. The white alert for these atolls is effective from 12:30 pm to 05:30 pm, forecasting winds between 19 mph and 24 mph. It is also forecasted that seas will be rough with wind gusts up to 40 mph.

Looking at the northern atolls, white and yellow alerts have now been issued for some atolls. A yellow alert has been issued from B Atoll to AA Atoll until 03:00 pm, forecasting winds between 25 mph and 30 mph in the region, with gusts up to 45 mph and very rough seas.

A white alert has been issued from HA Atoll to R Atoll. The white alert for this region forecasts winds between 22 mph and 27 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph and rough seas.
