A white alert has been issued for a large part of the Maldives due to forecasts of rough seas and strong winds.
The National Meteorological Service issued the white alert from 04:45 pm to 10:30 pm tonight for the atolls between HA. Atoll and ADh. Atoll. Winds are expected to blow between 19 mph and 24 mph in these atolls, with gusts up to 45 mph during showers. Seas are also expected to be rough.
Due to the bad weather, the National Meteorological Service has urged everyone, especially seafarers, to be cautious of the weather.
