Weather Worsens, White Alert Extended to Additional Atolls

The white alert issued from HA to Th atoll has been extended, and a white alert has been issued for L and GA atolls.

The National Meteorological Service extended the alert for the atolls from HA to Th until 18:00, following the expiration of the initial alert issued at 07:00 this morning which lasted until 12:00. Additionally, a white alert has been newly issued for L and GA atolls from 12:00 to 18:00.

During the alert periods, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in these atolls. It is also forecast that winds will blow between 19 and 24 miles per hour, with gusts up to 40 miles per hour during showers, and seas will be rough.

The Meteorological Service has urged everyone to be cautious of the weather.
