Warning Issued as Grounded Boat Near Vaavu Atoll Drifts Away

A warning has been issued as the boat grounded near Vaavu Atoll Keyodhoo has come off the reef and is drifting.

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) stated that the boat grounded near Vaavu Atoll Keyodhoo has come off the reef and is drifting north-west within the atoll, urging travelers to be cautious.

MNDF estimates that the boat will drift through Vaavu Atoll towards Alihuras Kandu. Therefore, MNDF urges those traveling in the sea area around Vaavu Atoll to pay attention to this. MNDF especially requested those traveling in this area at night to exercise special caution.
