Vitaly Lyubimof has been dismissed from his position as the CEO of Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO).

The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) stated in a post shared on X tonight that Vitaly was dismissed from his post as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of MIFCO today. However, the reason for the dismissal has not yet been disclosed.

Vitaly was appointed to the post of MIFCO CEO in December last year, six months after the position became vacant. Prior to that, Ahmed Shamah Rasheed, who held the position, was dismissed from the post of CEO and MIFCO Board Director on May 21 of that year. During the period without a CEO, the company was temporarily run by the company's then Chief Financial Officer, Ilyas Haneef.
