The Th. Vilufushi Island Council has decided to lease plots of land from area 68.3 of the island's land use plan for productive fisheries activities.
The Vilufushi Council began issuing bid papers for the land lease at 09:00 this morning. The council stated that bid papers will be issued until 13:00 on Thursday, the 26th of this month. The bid paper and bid form are being sold for 50 Rufiyaa.
According to the council, an individual going to collect the bid paper must bring their Maldivian national identity card, while a business or legal entity must bring their registration or a copy of the registration. Furthermore, if a form is being collected on behalf of someone else, a valid letter from the owner along with a clear copy of their national identity card must be submitted.
The council stated that the acceptance and opening of bid forms will take place at 13:15 on the 6th of next month in the council office's meeting hall. Additionally, parties who do not purchase the bid paper and form will not be given the opportunity to submit a bid. To provide opportunities to as many parties as possible, the council also noted that two plots of the same type will not be leased under a single name.
The Vilufushi Council stated that arrangements have been made to provide further information regarding this matter by calling the council office at 6780701 during official hours on working days.
