Viligilifaru Finolhu leased out for long term

Viligilifaru Finolhu, located within the jurisdiction of B. Atoll, has been leased for a long term.

Regarding this, the B. Atoll Council stated that Viligilifaru Finolhu has been leased for a period of ten years starting from the first of this month.

The lagoon was leased to Muhudhin Aamir of Ma. Freepark, Male' City. Muhudhin leased the sandbank after expressing interest and submitting a proposal when the council announced it was looking for a party to lease the sandbanks under the B. Atoll Council's supervision for a 10-year period, and successfully winning the bid.

The council has now handed over the sandbank to Aamir. The council stated that from now on, the sandbank can only be accessed and used with Aamir's permission.

In addition to Viligilifaru Finolhu, the council also announced the lease of Nuraufurifaru Finolhu, Giraavaru Finolhu 01 (Eastern Sandbank), and Giraavaru Finolhu 02 (Western Sandbank). However, the decision regarding those sandbanks has not yet been disclosed.

The council stated that the long-term lease of the sandbanks is intended to improve the council's financial situation using the revenue generated from the leases.
