The "Value-Added Fish Product Preparation and Small Business Management" training program, organized by the Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources and held in F. Nilandhoo, has successfully concluded.
A total of 11 participants took part in this training program, which was conducted from the 4th to the 8th of this month.
The Fisheries Ministry stated that the training provided information on value-added products prepared from fish and gave participants the opportunity to practically prepare them. This included techniques for drying fish, smoking, packaging, and safe storage.
In this training program, participants were taught the information and skills needed to do such work commercially, as well as the basic skills required to start, run, and develop small businesses. Important information regarding marketing and branding of products was also shared with the participants.
Information was provided to the participants of this program by technical staff of the Fisheries Ministry.
