The R. Vaadhoo Council has decided to lease a plot of land on the island for salted fish production and fisheries-related work.
The R. Vaadhoo Council stated that a 1,600-square-foot plot of land is being leased for salted fish and fisheries-related work, and the opportunity to participate in the bidding process is now open to parties interested in leasing the land for a long term.
The council stated that only parties registered for the bid will be able to participate. To register for the bid, interested parties must complete the bid document purchase form and submit it to the council office.
"The bid document will be issued only to parties who submit the bid purchase form and pay for the bid document. The price of the bid document (soft copy) is 200 Rufiyaa," the council stated.
The council began issuing the bid document purchase form yesterday. The council stated that forms will be issued and accepted on all non-public holidays until October 13, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. If the form is emailed, it is the responsibility of the submitting party to ensure it has been received, and the council noted that bid documents will not be sold after 12:00 pm on Sunday, October 13.
Bid acceptance and bid opening will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, in the council office meeting hall. The council stated that bids will not be accepted after or before the specified time.
"Bids must be enclosed in an envelope. The outside of the envelope must state the name given to the bid, the date and time set for opening, and the name of the bidding party. The bid document purchase form will be available at this office," the council stated.
The council added that parties wishing to lease the land who need to clarify any related information can do so by calling the council office number 4000299 or emailing info@vaadhoo.gov.mv.
