Trolling FAD deployed off Boduhuraa

A Fish Aggregating Device (FAD) specifically for trolling and sports fishing has been deployed off Sh. Boduhuraa.

During an ongoing trip to the northern atolls by a team from the Fisheries Ministry, the Boduhuraa trolling FAD was established today, 5 miles northwest of the island. The FAD number is D08V01.

This is the second trolling FAD deployed in Sh. Atoll since the current government took office. The previous FAD was deployed 4.5 miles east of Funadhoo in the same atoll. That FAD number is D09V01.

There are also 3 pole-and-line FADs in Sh. Atoll. These include a FAD located 11.5 miles northeast of Funadhoo, and two FADs located 14 miles northwest and 23 miles southwest of Komandoo.
