The National Meteorological Centre has forecast rain and thunderstorms across various parts of the Maldives today.
The centre predicts winds from the west and northwest at speeds between 8 and 18 miles per hour. Furthermore, winds may gust up to approximately 30 miles per hour during showers, the centre stated.
The Met Office stated that despite the rain, the seas will be generally moderate. Even if it gets moderately rough during showers, wave heights are estimated to be between 2 to 5 feet.
