Today's Weather: Rain and thunderstorms expected in various areas

The National Meteorological Centre has stated that some islands will experience showers in the morning, and rain with thunderstorms is expected across various areas in the afternoon.

The Met Office stated that despite the rain, seas will be generally slight. However, it will be moderately rough during showers. Wave height will be between 2 to 5 feet.

Winds are expected to blow from the southwest and west at speeds between 05 to 15 miles per hour. The Met Office also noted that winds may gust up to approximately 30 miles per hour during showers.

Currently, no weather alerts have been issued for any part of the Maldives.
