Thinadhoo City Council Designates Special Area for Refueling Vessels

Thinadhoo City Council has designated a special area for vessels to pump petrol and diesel.

Regarding this, the Thinadhoo City Council stated that since the Thinadhoo City harbor has been reorganized, changes have been made to the areas previously used for pumping petrol and diesel at the harbor. As such, the newly designated area for refueling vessels at the harbor is the jetty area on the north side of Thinadhoo. The council noted that this is 100 feet north of the ice plant jetty.

With this decision, after January 1, 2025, vessels at the harbor must pump petrol and diesel from the newly designated area.

Diesel and petrol are supplied to vessels moored at the Thinadhoo harbor by a private company operating in Thinadhoo. Fuel is pumped by bringing bowsers close to the harbor.
