The President of the Maafaru Council, Mohamed Abdul Ghanee, stated that although the new council had only a few days to plan the Eid activities, the events were organized and are proceeding very well. The President also noted that there was immense support from the citizens in organizing the Eid activities.
President Mohamed Abdul Ghanee said that in previous years, the fishing competition was held during the Eid holidays, but this time, due to a tight schedule of activities, the fishing competition was held before Eid. He highlighted that despite having only a few days to organize the fishing competition, the support received for the race this year was much greater compared to other years, which is evident even when looking at the number of teams that participated in the race.
President Mohamed Abdul Ghanee stated that a fishing competition will be held next year as well, included among the Eid activities. Furthermore, he mentioned that work will begin early to conduct the fishing competition in a more colorful manner than this.
