The Maldives Meteorological Service has issued a White Alert for a large part of the country due to anticipated strong winds.
The White Alert is effective from Haa Alifu Atoll to Thaa Atoll, from 12:00 pm to 06:00 pm.
Winds are expected to blow between 19 mph and 24 mph in the alert area, with gusts up to 45 mph during showers. Seas are also expected to be rough.
