The Maldives Meteorological Service has predicted that the seas across the Maldives will be rough with strong winds today.
Forecasting the weather for the next 24 hours, the Maldives Meteorological Service stated that winds will blow from the southwest and west at speeds between 13 and 23 miles per hour. Furthermore, winds may gust up to approximately 40 miles per hour during showers, and the seas are expected to be rough.
The Maldives Meteorological Service has already issued a Yellow Alert for some northern atolls. A Yellow Alert has been issued from B. Atoll to AA. Atoll from 11:00 am to 03:00 pm today, predicting winds between 25 and 30 miles per hour, with gusts up to 45 miles per hour during showers, and very rough seas in the area.
