State Trading Organization (STO), which is organizing the distribution of canned fish cases decided by the government as Ramadan gifts for households, has stated that distribution in the Male' region will begin tonight.
STO initially decided to distribute the canned fish cases in collaboration with the Male' City Council, so the council was previously announcing the distribution times and locations. However, STO has now decided to carry out the arrangements through the Ministry of Cities, Local Government and Public Works. Following this decision, the previously planned distribution from 14:30 to 18:00 today has been cancelled. With this, STO said the distribution of canned fish cases will begin tonight at 08:30.
"Taking into account the experiences and difficulties faced in previous years, the arrangements for distributing this year's gifts have been further strengthened to make it as easy as possible for citizens to receive the canned fish cases. The event previously planned to start at 2:30 on Thursday, February 20, has now been changed to start at 8:30 tonight," STO said.
