State Trading Organization (STO) has brought a new oil shipment to the Maldives.
STO stated that a new oil shipment was brought in today, and this shipment provides enough storage for 20 days. Furthermore, STO noted that there are currently no difficulties in purchasing and importing oil to the Maldives, and another oil shipment is already on its way.
Due to the conflicts in the Middle East, global oil prices have risen, causing difficulties in obtaining oil, which led STO to increase its oil prices as well.
Currently, diesel is being sold at a rate of MVR 17.54 per litre from the sheds of Fuel Supplies Maldives (FSM), which operates under STO. Additionally, petrol is being sold at a rate of MVR 16.01 per litre.
