Speedboat Accident Injures Two People

Two people have been injured in a dangerous accident at sea.

According to the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), the accident involved a speedboat named "Tour Guard" travelling from Villimale' to Gili Lankanfushi Resort. MNDF stated that they received information about the accident while the speedboat was very close to Villimale', and the vessel sustained major damages in the accident.

MNDF said that the two crew members travelling on the speedboat sustained serious injuries in the incident and are being treated at IGM Hospital.

MNDF Male' Area Command, Coast Guard Second Squadron is currently providing assistance.
