Speed limits set for vessels navigating in the SAMPA area

Under the management plan formulated to maintain the "South Ari Marine Protected Area" (SAMPA) in South Ari Atoll, specific speed limits have been established for vessels traveling in the region, and implementation has begun.

This management plan is an important guideline formulated to protect the natural biodiversity of the SAMPA region and to manage the area sustainably. According to this plan, various speed limits for vessels navigating in different parts of this region have been specified.

Regarding this matter, the relevant Ministry of Environment stated that the protection of the SAMPA region begins with responsible vessel navigation.
