The trolling FAD for M. Kolhufushi has been deployed.
According to the Fisheries Ministry, the M. Kolhufushi trolling FAD was established today 7 miles southeast of M. Dhiththudi.
Special trolling FAD deployed for M. Kolhufushi
The FAD number is K09V03. With this, the number of trolling FADs in M. Atoll has reached 3. The other two FADs are located 4.05 miles east of Veyvah and 6 miles northeast of Dhiggaru.
Trolling FADs established at a distance of between 3 to 6 miles around the islands are specially designed for trolling and sport fishing. The trolling FAD is designed with a light visible from afar and a radar reflector to easily identify its location.
