An agreement has been signed to establish a slipway in Lh. Naifaru.
The agreement to establish the slipway was signed during a ceremony held to meet the citizens during President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's visit to Lh. Naifaru as part of his tour to meet the people.
The development of the slipway to be established in Naifaru was awarded to 3 Way Enterprises Private Limited. Minister of Fisheries Ahmed Shiyam signed the agreement on behalf of the government. Managing Director Hassan Ibrahim signed the agreement on behalf of 3 Way Enterprises.
Meeting with the citizens of Naifaru, the President stated that the work on the slipway established in Naifaru will be completed as soon as possible. He also noted that the establishment of the slipway will benefit the citizens of the region.
As part of the President's tour, the foundation was also laid yesterday for a 30-ton ice plant and a 50-ton ice storage facility to be developed in Naifaru. The foundation laying ceremony was graced by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. Minister of Fisheries Ahmed Shiyam laid the foundation for this ice plant, which is being carried out by handing it over to MIFCO.
