Seeking volunteers to act as officials for "Uhunthakuraa Masrace 2025"

GDh. Madaveli Council has announced they are seeking volunteers to act as officials for the "Uhunthakuraa Masrace 2025" organized by the council.

The announcement issued by the council to find volunteers stated that the fishing race will be held on Friday, 12 December 2025, and they want to find a total of 8 officials to depart on the dhonis with the participating teams.

The council has requested interested parties to fill out and submit the designated online form before 12:00 on 10 December 2025. The council stated that officials will be selected from among those who meet the requirements on a first-come, first-served basis.

The requirements for officials include being 18 years of age, being in good health to travel at sea, and being able to share photos and videos during the event as determined by the council. The council said that an internet allowance of 100 Rufiyaa will be provided to those participating as officials. The council also stated that an official must not be a member of any team participating in the fishing race.

The responsibilities of the officials include monitoring whether the competing teams act in accordance with the rules of the race, and notifying the organizing committee if anything goes against the established guidelines. The council stated that if it is proven during or after the race that an official attempted to deceive in any way, that official will be banned from participating or acting as an official in such a race/tournament conducted by the council for a period of three (3) years.
