Efforts have begun to find an office building to operate the Maldives Marine Research Institute (MMRI) under the Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources.
According to an announcement published by the Ministry opening for bids to rent a building, they are seeking a party to lease an office building to operate MMRI for a period of 2 years. An information sheet outlining the standards required for the leased building is attached to the announcement. According to it, the leased building must have a workspace area of 4,000 square feet. The leased building must comply with the standards of the Building Act, be in a ready-to-use condition, and the space provided must be in a single building; if the space cannot be accommodated on a single floor, the floors must be adjacent.
