ADh. Mahibadhoo Council has begun efforts to find a party to conduct an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for cutting the channel at Maafaru lagoon.

The ADh. Mahibadhoo Council stated that the opportunity to register to submit proposals is now open for parties interested in preparing the EIA report required for cutting the channel at Maafaru lagoon, which falls under the island's jurisdiction. Accordingly, the council has requested interested parties to complete the registration form and email it to procurement@mahibadhoo.gov.mv before 14:00 on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. The council also stated that the bidding document for this project (including the "project scope" and chart) and the BOQ for the work will be emailed to the registered parties.

While the council has decided to hold an information session regarding this work at 13:00 on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Quran Centre, the council stated that the meeting to submit proposals will be held at the council office at 11:00 on Monday, November 25, 2024. The council also stated that the proposals will be opened at that meeting.
