HA. Muraidhoo Council has opened the opportunity to submit bids to find a contractor to carry out the construction of a fish market planned for the island.
An announcement published by the council office stated that they are seeking a party to construct the fish market in accordance with the information provided by the office, and that the opportunity has been opened for interested parties to register and submit their bids.
The council stated that registration for the bid can be done by filling out the "Bid Registration Form" and sending it to the council office's email procurement@muraidhoo.gov.mv or by submitting it directly to the council, and that the registration window is open until 13:00 on 29 March 2026.
The pre-bid meeting will be held at 13:00 on 30 March 2026 at the council office. Furthermore, the bid submission meeting will be held at 13:00 on 01 April 2026 at the council office. The council stated that the bid opening will take place in the presence of the bidders.
According to the council, bids for this work can be submitted by companies registered with the Ministry of Economic Development under the Companies Act, and private businesses registered with the Ministry of Economic Development under the Sole Proprietorship Act.
The Muraidhoo fish market is a facility being built with funding from the council's budget for the island's residents to cut and sell fish. This work is scheduled to be carried out through a bidding process, where the council office will provide some materials and the contractor will use some of their own materials.
