The N. Holhudhoo Island Council has decided to build a fish market on the island and has opened bidding to find a contractor for the project.
The council stated that it has decided to develop a fish market measuring 31 feet in length and 16 feet in width, and the opportunity to submit bids for this work was opened yesterday to interested parties. Interested parties are given the opportunity to complete the bid registration form and email it to the council office's email address info@holhudhoo.gov.mv before 11:00 on the 21st of this month. The council added that parties who do not register to bid within this period will not be given the opportunity to submit a bid.
The council noted that participation in this bid is restricted to parties with a valid business registration certificate, and therefore, the participating party's business registration certificate must be submitted along with the bid registration form.
The information session regarding this bid will be held on Thursday, 22 January 2026, at 11:00 in the council office's meeting hall. Bid submission will take place on Sunday, 04 February 2026, at 11:00 in the council office's meeting hall. The council stated that bids submitted late will be returned, and bids from unregistered parties or those submitted after the designated time will not be accepted.
