MNDF and Police have stated that the search is ongoing for two people missing from the cargo boat named "Balma-6" which capsized this morning.
The incident of this cargo boat, which departed from Hulhumale' travelling to Dhonmaagaa, capsizing near K. Vaadhoo was reported to the police around 07:27 this morning. While two of the four people travelling on this boat were picked up by another dhoni travelling in the area, the other two are missing. They are a Maldivian and a foreigner.
MNDF stated that in connection with this incident, the MNDF Male' Area Command Coast Guard Second Squadron and a team of Coast Guard divers are operating in the area. The Police also stated that police are active in the search efforts for the two missing people.
