A search has been launched for a man who went missing after disembarking at GDh. Nadella from the dhoni named "Ithubaaru".
Police are searching for Adam Ibrahim (34 yrs), of Suhaanee, HDh. Nolhivaran.
Search underway for missing man who disembarked at Nadella from "Ithubaaru" dhoni
Police stated that the "Ithubaaru" dhoni approached GDh. Nadella around 14:00 yesterday, and he was reported missing to the police around 22:25 last night after he disembarked at the island, failed to return to the dhoni, and could not be reached. The Police Service said that upon receiving the information, they commenced efforts to locate him.
"Upon receiving the information, a police team went to Nadella last night and searched the island and nearby uninhabited islands. Efforts to locate him are still ongoing today," Police said.
Police have requested anyone with information regarding Adam Ibrahim to contact the GDh. Rathafandhoo Police Station at 7909311.
