The agency stated that the effects of the haze are being felt across the entire Maldives today, especially in the northern and central regions. Weather reports indicate that visibility in the northern islands has dropped below 2 kilometers, the agency said.
The Maldives Meteorological Service has urged seafarers and those spending extended periods outdoors to be cautious, as the haze is expected to persist in this manner with northeasterly winds over the next five days. The agency also requested the public to pay attention and fully comply with the guidelines issued by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) regarding this matter.
