Weather alerts have been issued for a large part of the Maldives due to bad weather.
The meteorology department has issued a Yellow Alert from B. Atoll to V. Atoll, forecasting heavy rain and thunderstorms. The alert is effective until 01:00 PM, with winds expected to gust up to 45 miles per hour during showers, resulting in rough seas in the area.
Additionally, a Yellow Alert has been issued from V. Atoll to Addu City until 01:30 PM, with forecasts of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
