Keyolhunge Lobby has opened the opportunity to participate in the "Maldives Tuna Race 2025".
Scheduled for December 5-6, this race is specially targeted at vessels engaged in pole-and-line fishing in the Maldives. It is an event held to mark the anniversary of Keyolhunge Lobby and Fishermen's Day. Keyolhunge Lobby stated that they plan to hold this race every year with special prizes.
According to Keyolhunge Lobby, this 24-hour race is an event held with the aim of fostering friendship, strengthening ties, and creating a spirit of unity among the pole-and-line fishing family, generating interest among youth in pole-and-line fishing, promoting pole-and-line fishing, and increasing public love for this industry.
Tonight, Keyolhunge Lobby publicly opened the opportunity for vessels interested in participating in the "Maldives Tuna Race 2025". The deadline for registration in the race is 16:00 on Thursday, July 10. Vessels wishing to participate in the race can fill out the designated form and submit it to the Lobby's office. Alternatively, the form can also be submitted via the association's email, the Lobby said. Participation in the race is open to vessels registered in the national fishermen's registry and holding a valid fishing license.
