Re-announcement made to find a party to develop a neighborhood fish factory in Dhaandhoo

An announcement has been made again to find a party to develop and operate a neighborhood fish factory in GA. Dhaandhoo.

The Dhaandhoo Council re-announced the search for a party to develop and operate a neighborhood fish factory because a satisfactory response was not received during the opportunity opened last month. The council stated that when the deadline for the announcement made on the 21st of last month expired, only one party had submitted a bid. Furthermore, since that party had proposed a very low price, the bid was cancelled and re-opened.

The council has now opened registration until the 16th of this month for those who wish to participate in the bidding. Registration can be done via this link https://forms.gle/XJbJ3v9D3oZi5uHJA by sending the name, address, ID number, phone number, and e-mail address of the party wishing to register.

Bid submission and bid opening will be held on Tuesday, the 17th of this month at 13:00 in the conference hall of the Dhaandhoo Council office. In this online meeting, the opportunity will be given to those who wish to attend the bid meeting among the parties registered to participate in the bid. The Dhaandhoo Council also stated that bids can be submitted online.

To establish a neighborhood fish factory in Dhaandhoo, a 20,000 square foot plot of land located east of the island's A-zone license track has been decided to be leased for a period of 50 years under a bidding process. The minimum price set for leasing the land is 0.50 (fifty laari) per square foot.

The factory is planned to be established with ice storages capable of cooking and drying at least 10 tonnes of fish per day and storing 30 tonnes of fish.
