Rain Forecasted for the Next Two Days

The National Meteorological Centre has forecasted rain across various regions of the Maldives over the next two days.

Forecasting the weather for the next three days, the Met Office stated that a trough formed east of the Maldives is expected to slowly move westwards, making rain likely across various parts of the country on Tuesday and Wednesday. Additionally, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in some islands in the northern and central atolls.

Anticipating rainy weather over the next two days, the Met Office has urged everyone to be cautious of the weather.

According to the Met Office, while some islands may experience showers over the next 24 hours, the weather will generally be fine. Winds are expected from the north and northeast at speeds between 5 to 15 miles per hour. Seas will be slight, with wave heights estimated at 2 to 4 feet, according to the Met Office.
