The Parliament administration has removed Fisheries Minister Ahmed Shiyam's session from tomorrow's agenda after he stated his inability to attend the sitting.
Maradhoo constituency MDP member Ahmed Didi submitted the request to summon the minister to Parliament on August 24. The minister was initially scheduled to attend on the 14th of this month to answer the member's questions regarding the Addu City Fisheries Complex. However, it was removed on that day as well. After being scheduled again for tomorrow's sitting, it has now been cancelled as the minister is unable to attend. The exact reason for Minister Shiyam's inability to attend Parliament remains unknown.
In his question to the minister, MP Ahmed Didi sought to clarify the start date for the capacity expansion of the Addu City Fisheries Complex, noting that it is a pledge of the current government and a highly anticipated development among fishermen.
